Thank you!!

We would like to give a huge thank you to everyone who came out to
the last couple of shows in Sweden. We rarely play here “at home” but this year
I think we hit a new record of Swedish gigs!

The Stockholm-gig was the first and we played with the amazing Tera Melos!
A lot of people showed up, including our dear friends Zé Pedro and Luisa all the way from Portugal, and
it was great to play stockholm again and see that the sthlm-scene is very much alive and kicking!

Here’s a video from the Sthlm-gig:

Next up was Sandviken, and we got to play at the legendary Kungen for the first time!
Not too many people showed up, but wow…the ones who where there really showed tons of heart and passion and made the evening incredible for us! Far Sight also played and we’re really curious to hear more from them! Huge thanks to Davva, Danne, Thomas, Thomas and everyone else…sorry if I forget your names, my memory is piss-poor! Hope to be back to sandviken/gävle real soon!!

Last weekend we played at Öresunds-festivalen in Malmö, and this gig was a weird one. Actually I think it was my favorite Malmö-gig ever, because there were tons of people at the show even though we started playing at 01:15. Some guy we don’t have a fucking clue decided to climb onstage before our last show and started messing with our equipment and acting out a bit, which kinda threw the whole show off a bit, but it all ended alright and we were really happy going home that night!
Check out this video from the show:

And lastly, we played at Siesta!-festivalen last night at 23:30. We were slotted right in the middle of Familjen and Timbuktu & Damn! so we weren’t expecting anyone to show up, but a few brave souls came and had a real nice time with us (including the guy who kept shouting for us to step it up and giving us points and told us who were doing alright and who needed to try harder!). It was cold as hell, dark and totally great for us! Extra thanks to Johan Nilsson from Funktion for buying a shirt, talking to us and missing most of above said concerts just to check us out. Send us those tracks man!

Here’s some photo’s from the Siesta!-show and here’s also some real nice words on the gig (in swedish):

Thank you Anton Lindskog and Maria Gadd for those kind words!

Also, Jonas Appelqvist who joined us on “Flera Meter Kort” at the last two shows; Awesome job man!!

Now we’re taking a break from live-shows for a few months (we think…things might turn up!) and will
focus on writing a new album and some other little this and that’s.
Either way, we’ll see you next time right?

Stockholm + Sandviken

Hello friends!

Next week we’ve got two shows in Sweden lined up, first off is Stockholm on May 1st together with
Tera Melos and Georgian Waters.

The next day we’re heading for Sandviken to play with Far Sight at Kungen.
Very excited to play some shows in Sweden and get to head a bit further north than usual. Come on out, grab a copy of the limited edition of “Resident Flux” while there still are copies available (they’re running out soon!) and have a good time with us!

peace out folks!

Berlin…what can we say? You never disappoint us…what a great evening last night!! HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to the show!

Here’s an interview we did for Berlin Beat for this show:

The whole tour has actually been pretty ridiculously great, which is very nice since it is our 15th tour or something of Europe. We are very honored that people take the time to come and see us play, and we hope to meet you all again and again and again.

More later..tonight we play Göttingen with Amalthea and Lara Korona, if you’re in the area, DON’T MISS OUT!!

Much love from Scraps Of Tape

Hey everyone!

We’re at café Cantona in Leipzig at the moment, having some coffee and cakes after doing some sightseeing around Leipzig. We actually have a day off, which feels kind of ridiculous since it’s only day two on the tour but that’s the reality of it. Planning to borrow a couple of friends rehearsal-space tonight to write some new material! Way excited about new material. We’ve been talking a lot in the van about where we want to go with the new stuff and it seems we’re pretty much on the same page, and there is a lot of new ideas being thrown around. It’s going to be great!

Yesterday we played the Doom Over Leipzig Festival at UT Connewitz and all we can say is “WOW!”. One of if not THE best show we’ve ever had! Amazing venue, great bands, great promoters and all over arrangement. Around 250 people came out! Happy as can be! Huge thank you to everyone involved!

The Noble Beast Of Malmö presents:

We are very happy to announce our first “The Noble Beast Of Malmö Presents:” evening!

It will take place at Perrong 23 in Hässleholm on the 2nd of March
and The Noble Beast Of Malmö is proud to present:

A bit selfishly we start off with headlining our first TNBOMP: evening, but that’s just
a privilege  that comes with the job! We’ll be blasting through a set of songs from all of our albums
and we’re pretty fucking excited to be on stage at P23 again. It’s been 7 years since the last time, and
you can have a look at what that was like here:

Vädret is the solo-project of our beloved guitarist Marcus Nilsson and someone described
the music as “experimental childrens-music” which pretty much nails it! Beautiful melodies,
crazy synths and wonderful moods all crowd together to form Vädret. You don’t want to miss this!

Have a listen to the first single “Sista” from the upcoming ramberget recordings-album “Löven dansar balett där ute”:

Lymland is a collaboration between SoT-guitarist Jerker Kaj and
If They Ask Tell Them We’re Dead-member Sonja Perander.

Lymland sounds “wooden/forest-y”. Traditional instruments set in new exploratory, curious circumstances. Minimal arrangements but still all over the place.

The whole shebang starts at 20:30 and costs a meager 40:- (SEK).

As an added bonus we will attend the Guitar Show South which is happening
the very next day in Hässleholm and have a short talk on the equipment we
use, how we write our music and whatnot. That’s a first!

We hope to see you there!

First 2012 Tour underway!

Hey folks!

A few days in to our first 2012 tour, all is well and business as usual. Some nights have been awesome, some not so awesome but good nevertheless. We pretty used to whatever touring throws at us at this moment! 🙂

First day in Halle was fucking freezing cold, the show was a great first-show with awesome concerts from Lara Korona and Tiger Magic. First shows are always a bit shaky but this one was for sure one of the better ones.

Here’s some photos from the Halle-show shot by Liz Eulenhertz

Second day in Osnabrück was pretty weird following the squat Reil78 in Halle. The club Big Buttinsky (?!) was located in a shopping mall/cinema complex and when we got there we were sure it was gonna be weird, with low volume restrictions and all kinds of hassles, but it turned out amazing. Not too sure if anyone there actually knew who the hell we were but all-in-all it was a nice evening! Great people, backgammon, beer and high volume. Sweet!

Third day, Göttingen! This show was a last-minute booking and we were so lucky to get an opening slot for finnish rockers French Films at this amazing place called Apex! The promoters had made such a great job of decorating the place with scraps of old video tapes, and a quote from one of FF songs all over one wall. It looked  so nice, and Inga, Christian and all the other promoters were such awesome people. I really hope we get the chance to come back in April which we are trying to set up!

Yesterday: Stuttgart! Another first for Scraps, Stuttgart and Schocken was a really pleasant surprise. We weren’t too sure there would be any people since it was a monday and we’d never played Stuttgart before, but it turned up around 30 people and everyone were really psyched! We sold like 20 albums, 7 t-shirts and some posters so we were as happy as pigs in shit when we went to bed.

And here we are, at Café Wagner in Jena. This place is really something, the guys here seem like the greatest people and we’re super-psyched about tonight! Early soundcheck in a minute and then awesome hang-out time and good food, company and a movie-screening. Sweet times.

We miss our families a lot, and our hearts go out to Jerker who’s not with us on this tour because he became a father just the other day. All of our love to Jerker, Sonja and their beautiful baby girl!! Slowly getting Scraps Of Tape Teens together. We’re planning a “The Phantom” kinda thing with scraps…we’ll never die.
